Open
hostility drives people to greatness. One needs only to
examine the improvements of mankind at the demands of great
armies embattled with great enemies. Conflict yields massive
amounts of frustration, and those engaged in said conflict,
will find themselves generating many novel and unique solutions
to overcome that frustration. Furthermore, such hostility
will generate committed effort insuring said solutions are
brought to fruition. Effectively, open hostility generates
and sustains abnormally long attention spans and novel unique
explanations.
With
this being the case, why not arrange institutions of research
together in such way so as to maximize hostility between
warring parties. The adherents of one explanation are placed
on one side of the department office and the antagonists
on the other side. Both armies would be charged with conquering
the other army by finding the most the most consistent method
for allaying the mental perturbation in question. Whichever
method is most effective and controlling the cognitions
necessary to attenuate the perturbation is the victor.
Keeping
the two groups of combatants in such close proximity will
maintain acumen and assiduousness insuring constant and
perpetual generation of novel explanations and unfaltering
commitment to finishing these methods. Nothing like hatred
to increase the expediency of mankind's development of 'truth'.
